Story Of MassCNCA

How did we get here?

Computer Support/Network Administration, Florence Animal Clinic

Scope of work evolved from basic tech support and eventually writing a scripted DOS backup system, to engineering a brand-new network to support a paperless digital network environment. Currently managing all computer and network systems, support and configurations.

1995

Support Technician, U.S.D.A.

Served as sole technician who provided support for multiple agencies within the Department; worked independently to satisfy agency IT priorities. Provided professional and timely support within an office environment for highly-structured CCE government systems. Responded to emergency network events to prevent widespread system failures in MA, RI and CT.

2002

Owner & Technician, Bernier Computer Solutions

Provided direct support and network systems upgrades to dozens of local business owners and hundreds of private clientele. My business required applying principles in marketing, communication skills, and professionalism. The varied nature of my clientele necessitated a broader knowledge of industry-specific hardware and software.

2003

Phone and On-site Support Technician, Precipo Technologies

Managed phone support issues and provided assistance during on-site visits. Established new computer systems and responded to emergencies in and for several medical offices. Versed in the participation of return merchandise warranty service contract procedures. Provided on-site setup of Firebox VPN’s and other hardware. Prepped and imaged new hardware for roll-out.

2005

Acting IT Director, Mohawk & Hawlemont Regional School District

Overhauled previous IT Department by applying my vision of a tightly-controlled, sleek network. Directed and prioritized the IT Dept. budget to maximize expense allocations. Represented and promoted the administration’s technology vision to staff and stakeholders. Planned and implemented best management practices for organizing devices and data. Developing policies, procedures, and creating structure relating to the department and technology throughout the district.
